Geography Intent

Through Geography at Thorntree Academy, children are equipped to pursue future careers in this field. We place great focus on three key areas:

Community – The children will learn about their place within their locality and the wider world. 

Competence – The skills, such as reading maps, will enable the children to have a strong understanding of location, place and human and physical geography.

Curiosity – Children will be curious about the world and aspire to experience different cultures across the globe.
