PE Curriculum Intent

At Thorntree Academy, we believe being physically confident and competent enhances the experiences, which inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport within the local area and wider world.

 It is our belief that PESSPA provides a range of broad and balanced experiences that form the basis for lifelong sporting and recreational activity.

Physical education lessons will provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident and learn a progression of skills. School sport provides opportunities to compete in a range of sports and develop skills in a competitive manor. Physical activity develops resilience in a way that supports their mental health, fitness and physical well-being.
