RE Curriculum Intent:

RE in Thorntree should provoke challenging questions about meaning and purpose in life, beliefs about God, ultimate reality, issues of right and wrong and what it means to be human. RE should celebrate culture and diversity and should prepare our children for life in their local community so that they can make a positive contribution.

Through religious study, we want our children to explore different religions, cultures and worldviews and understand that others have different beliefs to themselves.  

Children should be able to express their ideas about the impact of religions and worldviews in order to give a positive contribution to their community.

Children should be empowered to ask questions about how they fit into and live within the wider world.
